13 RC battery chargers to compare

Compare each charger by battery compatibility, number of outputs, connector type and charging power.

Choose the correct charger in five checks

  1. Chemistry: LiPo, LiHV, LiFe, lithium-ion and NiMH require their own charge settings.
  2. Cell count: a 2S car battery and a 6S flight battery have different voltage requirements.
  3. Plug and balance connector: XT60, IC3/IC5 and proprietary plugs are not interchangeable without compatible, properly rated leads.
  4. AC versus DC power: advertised maximum DC wattage may not be available from a mains outlet.
  5. Outputs: one-channel units charge one main pack; a dual-channel model can handle two compatible packs.
