Traxxas EZ-Peak Plus 2970 is a model-specific RC battery charger. This listing guide compares the electrical input and output, compatible battery chemistry, connector requirements and important limits.
Charging output and power source
40W AC, up to 4A, single output. The maximum power depends on the input supply and the connected battery’s voltage and permitted charge current. Never apply a higher rate than the pack manufacturer recommends.
Battery compatibility
Supported battery configurations: 2S–3S LiPo; 5–8-cell NiMH. Connector system: Traxxas iD. Verify main plug polarity, correct balance connector, individual cell count and chemistry before connecting any battery. A physical adapter does not automatically make a battery safe for a charger.
Who should choose it?
Entry charger for owners of Traxxas iD 2S/3S LiPo and 5–8-cell NiMH packs. Automatically recognizes compatible Traxxas iD batteries and has selectable balance/storage operations. Non-iD packs require compatibility checks.
Limitations and what to check
Not a 4S charger; limited to one pack and 40W charging. Verify the included US mains power cable and exact 2970 version.
